Terms of Use

1. Scope of the service

imbaQRL provides educational institutions with QR card generation backed by the Google Workspace user directory, a ChromeOS QR sign-in flow, management panels, security controls and related support services.

To use the service, the institution's Google Workspace and ChromeOS settings must be configured according to the imbaQRL setup instructions.

2. Accounts and authorized use

imbaQRL may only be used by users authorized by the institution. Users must not share account credentials, administrative access or QR cards with unauthorized persons.

Institution administrators are responsible for authorizing users within their own institution, assigning roles correctly and ensuring the service is used in accordance with school policies.

3. Institution configuration

The settings required for Google Workspace, the ChromeOS sign-in flow and the corporate directory connection are configured by the institution's authorized administrator. The institution must verify that the permissions it grants comply with its internal policies and applicable legislation.

The institution administrator is responsible for removing access that is no longer needed from the relevant management consoles and for revoking QR cards that are lost or suspected of unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

The following conduct is prohibited when using the service:

• Using the service for unauthorized access, abuse or unapproved security testing.
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or QR cards without permission.
• Automation, excessive requests or reverse engineering that disrupts the service.
• Use that violates laws, school policies or third-party rights.

5. Data and privacy

imbaQRL's data processing practices are described on the Privacy Policy page. By using the service you acknowledge that you have read the data processing activities described in the privacy policy.

6. Service limitations

imbaQRL makes reasonable efforts to provide the service securely and without interruption; however, temporary outages may occur due to third-party services, internet connectivity, institution configuration, maintenance work or security measures.

Certain features may be restricted when limits under the license, usage quota or the institution's agreement are exceeded.

7. Intellectual property

The imbaQRL application, its interfaces, brand elements, source code and documentation belong to İmba Bilişim or the relevant rights holders. Using the service does not grant you ownership of, or redistribution rights to, these elements.

8. Suspension and termination

Accounts or tenant access may be suspended or terminated in the event of a breach of these terms, a security risk, an institution request, license expiry or a legal obligation. The institution may contact us to terminate the service or to submit a data deletion request.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. imbaQRL cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Cases of willful misconduct and gross negligence are reserved.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith; if no resolution is reached, the competent courts and enforcement offices are determined according to the applicable legislation.

11. Changes

imbaQRL may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, the last-updated date and the terms version are changed, and institution administrators may be asked to re-accept the terms. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current terms.
